Zach studied biology at Colorado Mesa University and currently works in paleontology. He has interned and volunteered with conservation groups around the world, and his writing has also appeared in Alaska Magazine, Tasmanian Geographic, The Bark and other publications, and is a staff writer for Earth.com. Zach just finished his first book, Tears for Crocodilia: Ecology, Evolution and the Disappearance of one of the World’s Most Ancient Animals, and lives with his wife, Erin, and two dogs in Colorado.
