Michelle Carrere is a Chilean journalist who lives in Lima, Peru. She has made written and audiovisual reports on migration, forced displacement, human trafficking and environmental conflicts. She joined Mongabay Latam in 2018 as editor for ocean issues from where she has conducted and directed research on illegal fishing, trafficking in marine species, overexploitation, and pollution.
