The world’s smallest sloth is threatened by human incursions on its tiny island habitat. Though designated a protected area by the government, humans are illegally cutting down mangroves on the island for fuel and killing the pygmy three-toed sloth for food. Sloth-expert Voirin predicts that unless laws are enforced the sloth only has a few years left on the Earth.
