Dora Montero
Dora Montero is a journalist based in Colombia. For more than 25 years, she has covered judicial, political and public order issues and specialised in investigative journalism . Many of her reports are related to the war that has been going on in her country for more than 50 years, corruption and conflicts over land and power.
She has worked in various newspapers, magazine, digital and television media in his country and collaborated with El País of Spain and The Washington Post. She has participated in several cross-border collaborative research projects, and she has also conceived and coordinated Tierra de Resistentes (Land of Resistance).
She is a three-time winner of the Simón Bolívar National Journalism Award, and has received awards for excellence in journalism from the SIP, Fetisov and the Gabo Prize.
Founding member of Consejo de Redacción, an organisation that promotes investigative journalism in Colombia. University teacher and workshop leader in subjects related to investigative journalism, audiovisual and digital narratives.
