Guide to Monkeys of the Guianas released

A pocket identification guide to the monkeys of Guyana, Suriname, and French Guiana was unveiled Sunday at a gathering of tropical biologists in Paramaribo, Suriname.
The guide, titled "Monkeys of the Guianas" was issued by Conservation International The guide will be distributed to local eco-tourism operators, educational facilities, and other groups in an effort to promote awareness of the region's biodiversity. The laminated booklet includes illustrations, descriptions, maps, and biological details for the eight species found in the Guianas.
Conservation International has released a series of guides for different animal groups for countries and regions around the world.
