Sharon Muzaki
Sharon Muzaki is an award-winning environmental and science journalist covering public health, climate change, and emerging technologies in Africa. Her work focuses on making complex scientific and environmental issues accessible while highlighting their impact on communities across the continent.
She holds a degree in Journalism and Communication from Makerere University and has undertaken extensive professional training in data journalism, climate reporting, agroecology, multimedia storytelling, and mobile reporting.
Sharon is the inaugural Africa and Middle East fellow of the Advancing Science Journalism in Africa and the Middle East Fellowship, supported by Springer Nature under the Knight Science Journalism Program at MIT. As an MIT Knight Science Journalism Research Fellow, she engaged with leading scientists and science writers, deepening her commitment to rigorous, impactful science journalism.
