Ridzki R. Sigit

Ridzki is a professional with more than 20 years of work experience, which focuses on the environment and natural resources areas. He is involved in various projects and research related to law enforcement in the forestry sector, developing research on non-timber forest local product initiatives, doing research on communication strategies for the sumatran tiger, shark and ray issues, and many more. As part of his career, He was acting as a producer in various audio-visual projects including issues on the indigenous people, climate resilience, nature and preservation of forest habitats, and topics on disaster mitigation for local communities. He has also led various types of environmental organizations, since 2012 he has led Mongabay Indonesia, Mongabay’s first work unit/branch outside the US. Ridzki is a Ph.D. in communication science, with a focus on environmental communication.
