Molly Herring is an intern with ScienceAdvisor, Science’s daily newsletter. After studying agriculture in Guatemala, public health in Ghana, and education pedagogy in Thailand, she enrolled at UNC Chapel Hill, where she barely narrowed down her passions to study biology, global studies, and English. She moved to Ecuador, Greece, and finally, California, where she earned a master’s in science writing from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her work has appeared in Mongabay, Scientific American, and other outlets.
