Maurício Angelo

Maurício Angelo is the founder of The Mining Observatory (https://observatoriodamineracao.com.br), the only site of investigative journalism focused on the mining sector in Brazil. Winner of the Excellence in Journalism Award of Inter American Press Association (2019). Angelo is also a freelancer journalist specialized in Amazon, Cerrado, indigenous people, human rights and climate crisis who publish in many media outlets in Brazil and around the world.
