Julia Lemos Lima

Julia Lemos Lima is a Brazilian journalist and documentary filmmaker with a wide range of experience from broadcast television to online platforms both in Brazil and in the UK. Julia has worked for TV Globo, the largest TV network in Latin America, and has directed a series for VH1/Viacom Brasil. She completed a Masters in Documentary Filmmaking at Goldsmiths College in London in 2016 and ever since has been involved in several news and documentary productions. Julia has received commissions from international media outlets such as BBC Reel and institutions like University College London and The Open University. She has been awarded a One World Media production grant. Her films have been screened at the London Feminist Film Festival and Rio Film Festival. One of her latest productions – a short documentary about the environmentalist group Extinction Rebellion – was awarded Bronze at EVCOM Clarion Awards (UK) in 2020.
