Annie Burns-Pieper
Annie Burns-Pieper is an investigative journalist with fifteen years of experience reporting for Canadian outlets including The Globe and Mail, CBC, CTV and Global. Her international work has appeared in The Guardian and Al Jazeera.She also served as managing editor at the Institute for Investigative Journalism.
She covers a wide range of topics, often focusing on environmental and health issues, including corporate and government accountability, extractive industries and pollution. She has trained journalists and civil society organizations around the world to investigate corporations and global supply chains. She holds master’s degrees from Toronto Metropolitan University and the London School of Economics.
