Alexandra Talty

Alexandra Talty is a multimedia ocean journalist, covering climate and aquaculture. She writes for The New York Times, The Guardian and Outside Magazine, among others. As a Pulitzer Center Ocean Reporting fellow she investigated the American seaweed industry for Civil Eats. She hosted “South Fork Sea Farmers,” a monthly television show on aquaculture and fishing broadcast across Long Island, New York. In addition to an LA Press Club Award, her reporting has been awarded a Knight-Wallace Fellowship (2022) and a National Press Club Agricultural Fellowship (2019). She is an ocean certified lifeguard and lifelong surfer.
