Abdulwaheed Sofiullahi

Abdulwaheed Sofiullahi is a journalist and researcher reporting on climate and environmental issues at the intersection of health, energy, policy, and human impact. His work combines science and storytelling to illuminate how environmental changes shape lives and communities. In 2024, he won the AAAS Kavli Global Science Journalism Award and was shortlisted for the 2025 Global True Story Award and the Sanlam Award in Financial Journalism. As a Pulitzer Center and Journalismfund Europe grantee, he continues to pursue cross-border investigations into the environmental and social impacts of extractive industries across West Africa.
