Sofia Moutinho is an award-winning Brazilian journalist covering science, health, and the environment. Growing up in the Brazilian Atlantic rainforest fueled her interest in nature and its dynamics. She has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a master's in science journalism from Columbia University. Her work has appeared in Science, Scientific American, Nature, The Guardian, and others.
