Rachel Duckett
Rachel Duckett is a health and science writer based in Chicago. She has reported internationally in the Philippines. She also covered measles outbreaks in Chicago and other emergent health stories there. She previously hosted All Things Considered at WVIK, Quad Cities NPR in Rock Island, Illinois, where she won first place Best Newscast and second place Best General Reporting awards from the Iowa Broadcast News Association. Before that, she worked at an environmental initiative out of Detroit Public Television called Great Lakes Now, covering environmental stories in the Great Lakes Basin, and as a copy editor for the Spartan Medical Research Journal in East Lansing, Michigan. In her free time, she loves to knit, cook, and hang out with her cat.
