Praveen Kumar Yadav

Praveen Kumar Yadav is a Nepal-based freelance journalist, researcher, and development communications specialist. His reporting focuses on climate change, migration, human rights, politics, and social justice, with a particular emphasis on Indigenous peoples and marginalized communities. He has reported extensively on social, political, environmental, and development issues across Nepal and has worked with national and international organizations on research, policy, and strategic communications. He has reported for the BBC World Service, The Washington Post, France 24, and The Guardian, among other international media outlets. As a local researcher and fixer, he has also contributed to cross-border reporting projects for The New York Times, Dutch broadcaster VPRO, Swiss Television, and Swiss Public Radio (SRF). He holds a master's degree in Human Rights and Democratisation from Mahidol University in Thailand.
