Mike Cronin
Mike Cronin covers the technology and startup sectors for the Austin Business Journal in Texas. In 19 years as a broadcast and print journalist, Cronin has won the Peabody, two duPonts, a Murrow and multiple Online News Association, SPJ and Golden Quills awards. He has worked for Bill Moyers, Minnesota Public Radio, the Associated Press, The Arizona Republic, MinnPost and Texas Watchdog, among others. Cronin has investigated issues including clergy sex-abuse in the Roman Catholic Church, nursinghome neglect and Amish investing. His favorite things to write about are people and things that inspire awe. Cronin speaks Spanish, which he learned while reporting in
Peru and teaching English in Barcelona, Spain. He earned a master's degree in international affairs from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in politics from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
