Lusia is a journalist based in Jakarta, Indonesia. She started writing for Mongabay Indonesia in 2016 as a freelance contributor covering the capital city, and joined the Mongabay Indonesia team as Youth Outreach Officer in June 2023.
She has long been passionate about environmental issues, including the climate crisis, Indigenous peoples, and deforestation. She has been involved in several collaborative investigative projects and has received a number of reporting grants, including from Earth Journalism Network in 2019 and the Rainforest Journalism Fund in 2021.
