Dr Fergus O’Leary Simpson is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Antwerp’s Institute of Development Policy (IOB). His research focusses on the intricacies between environmental conservation, natural resource conflicts and armed mobilisation in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
