David Tarazona
David Tarazona is a Colombian investigative journalist. He covers environmental crimes and deforestation at Mongabay Latam as a contributing editor. Before, he was an investigative reporter and editor at Cuestión Pública, a news outlet he co-founded with Diana Salinas and Claudia Báez. He investigated the #ParadisePapers in Colombia at Connectas and has done collaborative stories with OCCRP. His worked at Noticias Uno-NTC Television. He also investigated the social impacts of European Investment Bank loans in Africa. These stories were published in La Marea and other European media. In The Netherlands he did an internship in the magazine OneWorld.nl. In addition, he has been a university professor. David has a master's degree in Communications with a specialization in data journalism from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. He has covered corruption and environmental crimes including illegal fishing, illegal mining and the oil industry negative impacts on indigenous communities.
