Bernardo Araujo
Bernardo Araujo is a science journalist based in Brazil. After spending the first half of his professional life involved in research in paleoecology and conservation — work that led to his PhD in ecology — he started working as a freelance journalist and science communicator in 2018. His writing has been featured in outlets such as Mongabay, ((o))eco, Earth Island Journal, and O Globo’s math and science blog. He’s also worked as a translator for science and news articles.
In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running and bouldering in the standing remnants of the Atlantic Forest. He also loves writing fiction of questionable quality.
