Given that today is 11/11/11, the photo of the day is equally repetitive: a line of gray-winged trumpeters in Suriname.



The gray-winged trumpeter is a ground bird found widely across the northern Amazon rainforest. A bit similar in appearance and behavior to the guineafowl of Africa, it feeds on fruit, insects, and other small animals, including snakes.
