Dwarf mongoose inhabit the grasslands of southern Africa. They are Africa’s smallest carnivore.



The individual pictured above lives in a new exhibit at Wildlife Conservation Society’s Prospect Park Zoo. It is part of a family of six previously lived at WCS’s Central Park Zoo.



The dwarf mongoose is not considered endangered.
