Riding a horse in the world's greatest tropical rainforest may be the definition of what kids today call 'bad-ass'. It certainly makes cowboys in Texas look prosaic. While it may be surprising to see a horse-and-rider in the Amazon rainforest, this is typical transportation for some indigenous groups in the Amazon rainforest of Colombia.

After centuries of abuse in Colombia, including indentured servitude to the rubber industry, indigenous people are beginning to regain their rights and their land.
