Apple introduced a new iPod with iPhone features, including a touch screen and Wi-Fi for wireless Internet capability, according to the Wall Street Journal.
In a speech Wednesday, Apple CEO Steve Jobs said the company is revamping its entire line of iPod music players. The new device will be called the iPod Touch and cost either $299 or $399, depending on its storage capacity. The entry-level version will have 8 gigabytes of storage, while the higher end model will have 16 GB
The company, which announced it has sold more than 110 million iPods since the product's launch in 2001, also unveiled a new iPod Nano with a larger screen and video capability. The new nanos will cost $149 for 4 GB and $199 for 8 GB.
New versions of the hard-drive iPod will sell for $249 for 80 GB and $349 for 160 GB.
Apple also said it would start to sell ring tones for the iPhone through its iTunes music store. iPhone ring tones will retail for 99 cents each.
