About RFID
Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a method of remotely storing and retrieving data using devices called RFID tags/transponders. An RFID tag is a small object, such as an adhesive sticker, that can be attached to or incorporated into a product. RFID tags contain antennas to enable them to receive and respond to radio-frequency queries from an RFID transceiver.

Mountain View, CA and Cincinnati, OH – May 17th, 2005 – T3Ci, the leading RFID analytics and applications company, and The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE: PG) today announced a multi-year, non-exclusive joint development agreement to collaboratively identify and build high value RFID applications designed to leverage the EPCglobal RFID standards. The two companies aim to jointly develop a range of strategic RFID applications as learning continues behind RFID programs at multiple retailers.

"We chose to work with T3Ci on EPC analytics and applications after evaluating the capabilities of a large number of solution providers. T3Ci was well ahead of the other companies we evaluated and demonstrated a clear understanding of how to eventually get value from EPC data across the supply chain," said Steve Rehling, Director of IT and head of RFID systems at Procter & Gamble. "We have had the opportunity to work with T3Ci on EPC analytics for the past year and have now decided to expand our partnership to working collaboratively on EPC applications. T3Ci has provided us with extraordinarily high levels of customer service and we continue to be impressed with their insights and innovations."

"We are honored that Procter & Gamble has selected T3Ci as their strategic RFID partner," said Jonathan Golovin, CEO T3Ci. "Procter & Gamble is not only an experienced early pioneer in the exploration of the potential benefits of RFID technology, but has also demonstrated leadership in the development of EPCglobal standards. Our experience working with them as well as our other early adopter customers over the past year has allowed us rapid learning cycles to gain insight and grow our products based on actual learning. P&G is a true leader in supply chain innovation"

In a related announcement, Steve Rehling has agreed to join T3Ci's customer advisory board. "We are very excited that Steve has accepted our offer to join the T3Ci customer advisory board," remarked Jon Golovin. "We are finalizing a group of the most innovative early adopters to advise us on RFID. They will be an invaluable asset to our company as we move forward."
