Xilena Pinedo

Xilena Pinedo is a science journalist from Lima, Peru, and graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. Her work revolves around health, the environment and climate change, while putting Indigenous communities and traditional knowledge at the center. She is currently collaborating with OjoPúblico, a leading research media in Latin America, and leads the journalistic direction of Bicho Raro, a space for scientific dissemination with a Latin American focus. She has worked with organizations such as Climate Tracker and ColmenaLab, and is part of international networks such as the Oxford Climate Journalism Network and the Latin American Network of Young Journalists.
