Daniela Castro

Daniela Castro is a Colombian investigative journalist based in Bogotá. She joined OCCRP in 2017 as a reporter and was later named South America editor, coordinating investigations and working alongside journalists from across the region—a role she held until March 2025. She now works as a freelance journalist covering organized crime, corruption, and the environment. Daniela has been a guest speaker and workshop facilitator at journalism conferences in Colombia and internationally. In September 2023, she was recognized as one of Colombia's most transformative women under 45 for her contributions to journalism.
